Raju Rao has been or is currently involved in developing many of the standards of PMI . These include

• PMBOK 3rd Edn Update Project -Team member - development of scope and communication chapters
• Earned Value Management Standard - Team member PPMS - Program Management Standard
  - Development of Chapter 3
• OPM3 First edition - Sub Team lead - Dependency Analysis
• OPM3 2008 (Update SE) - Member of Core Team and Team Lead - Baseline Network.

He is also involved in the following 

• Chair - South India for AACE-IRS Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering
• International Correspondent for India - PM Forum
• Convener - Indian Project Management Forum
