Applying Earned Value in Organizations
Earned Value is a well-known method to monitor progress in a project or a program . Applying EVM or Earned Value Management in organizations involves introducing it during project or program planning . In addition all other departments particularly accounting have to understand and support it in order for it to be successful . Assessment
Evaluation of EVM knowledge and practices within the organization. The result of this exercise will be a gap analysis which will help in finding appropriate solutions .This will be based on size and culture of the organization and its willingness to deploy EVM systems .
Training
Training on Earned Value from basics to advanced topics for personnel at appropriate levels of the organization.
Support during implementation
Typical implementation cycles could be between 1 to 4 months depending on size , domain and nature of engagement . During this period Xtraplus will conduct 1 or 2 day refresher workshops for the persons involved in implementation .
